Currently, I am managing PLS Market Analysis, my market research consulting firm and serve as a member of the Board of Directors for Liberty Lutheran Services and Retirement Communities and the Board Strategic Planning Committee. Recently, I spent 15 years with Brecht Associates, a nationally recognized market research firm where I conducted market feasibility studies and senior housing trends analyses and refined demand methodologies for independent and assisted living, nursing and rehab, active adult communities, home healthcare, wellness centers, and adult daycare. While at Brecht I designed and moderated focus groups for CCRCs for expansion and new construction projects. In addition to senior living, I have been involved with various healthcare organizations.
My accomplishments include leading the accreditation process at a major teaching hospital, overseeing the development of a behavioral health residential treatment center, managing the finances of a publicly-traded diagnostics company, designing physician specialty networks, and consulting for several nursing and rehab centers. I have been an active participant on a national Methodology Task Force with senior housing market feasibility firms and published a white paper called New Principles for Market Analysis. In 2016, I was part of a panel presentation called “In-depth Competitor Analysis” at the LeadingAge Indianapolis national meeting.
I hold a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
